I think the big thing holding me up on Mastodon at this point is the server load being so high. Wondering if it’s too late to use another server, or if it would even make a difference since I’m interacting with folks on here.

@lindsaykwardell There's an easy way to move servers if you decide to in the settings, it will pull all of your followers with you and redirect your current account to your new one.
It does reset the accounts you follow yourself though.

@lindsaykwardell @LibreNyaa It looks like original posts are still kept on the previous server (and federated elsewhere from it), but the user profile points to the new server. But before redirecting anything, it's possible to use multiple servers. It just takes a bit of confusion and inconvenience for having to start again, and again. 😓
Part of mobile client apps also support using multiple servers from same application. Similarly should be possible via mobile web browser.
